Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the upper antenna mast mounting nut.
  2. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
  3. Turn the radio ON.

  5. Have a helper guide the antenna mast (1) as it moves out from the antenna assembly.

  6. Object Number: 331992  Size: SH
  7. Pull the antenna mast (2) from the antenna assembly.
  8. Remove the antenna mast from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the antenna mast (2) to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 331994  Size: SH
  3. With the radio ON, insert the plastic cable (2) into the antenna assembly.
  4. With the serrated side of the plastic cable facing the power antenna motor insert the antenna assembly until you feel resistance.
  5. Turn OFF the radio.
  6. With the aid of an assistant, feed the plastic cable and the mast into the antenna base.
  7. If the plastic cable does not retract into the antenna housing, rotate the cable clockwise and/or counter-clockwise until the cable retracts into the antenna housing.
  8. Insert the mast (1) section into the antenna housing.
  9. Install the upper antenna mounting nut.
  10. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Tighten
    Tighten the upper antenna mounting nut to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
