Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel driver knee bolster panel. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

  2. Object Number: 325463  Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolts (3) that retain the relay center and the bracket to the inner and outer brackets of the instrument panel driver knee bolster.
  4. Remove the relay center (5) and the bracket (4) from the inner and outer brackets of the instrument panel driver knee bolster.

  5. Object Number: 325464  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the relay (3) from the relay center.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the relay (3) to the relay center.

  2. Object Number: 325463  Size: SH
  3. Install the relay center (5) and the bracket (4) to the inner and outer brackets of the instrument panel driver knee bolster.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the bolts (3) that retain the relay center and the bracket to the inner and outer brackets of the instrument panel driver knee bolster.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  7. Install the instrument panel driver knee bolster panel. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
