Removal Procedure
  1. Raise the vehicle and support with safety stands. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information.

    2. Object Number: 181988 Size: SH
  2. Remove the oil filter from the oil filter adapter. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
  3. Remove the oil filter adapter from the engine block. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter Removal .

    4. Object Number: 70414 Size: SH
  4. Remove the oil filter bypass valve from the engine block. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter Removal .

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 70414 Size: SH
  1. Install the bypass valve in the engine block. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter Installation .

    2. Object Number: 70416 Size: SH
  2. Install the oil filter adapter to the engine block. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter Installation .

    3. Object Number: 181988 Size: SH
  3. Install the oil filter to the adapter. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
  4. Remove the safety stands and lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
