J 34940 Rivet Gun

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Remove the front door body side molding. Refer to Front Side Door Molding Replacement .
3. Drill out the rivets using a ¼ inch drill bit.
4. Remove the retaining plate.

1. Apply rust inhibitor to the plate and the body mating surfaces.
2. Install the retaining plate to the body with rivets using the J 34940 .
3. Install the front door body side molding. Refer to Front Side Door Molding Replacement .
4. Lower the vehicle.
