Removal Procedure
  1. Raise the vehicle and support with safety stands. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

    2. Object Number: 188050 Size: SH
  2. Remove the engine oil pan drain plug and drain the engine oil into a suitable container.
  3. Remove the engine oil filter from the oil filter adapter.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 188050 Size: SH
  1. Install the engine oil drain plug to the engine oil pan.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the oil pan drain plug to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  2. Lubricate the engine oil filter with clean engine oil.
  3. Install the oil filter to the engine oil filter adapter.
  4. Tighten the oil filter following the instructions on the oil filter.
  5. Remove the safety stands and lower the vehicle.
  6. Fill the crankcase with engine oil. Refer to Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations in General Information.
  7. Operate the engine and check for leaks.
