Engine Mount Replacement Front

Removal Procedure

Notice: Broken or deteriorated mounts can cause misalignment and destruction of certain drive train components. When a single mount breaks, the remaining mounts are subjected to abnormally high stresses.

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  2. Object Number: 374320 Size: SH

Notice: When raising or supporting the engine for any reason, do not use a jack under the oil pan, any sheet metal, or the crankshaft pulley. Lifting the engine in an unapproved manner may cause component damage.

  3. Using a jack on the square tab (left side shown) at the rear of the engine block, raise the engine. In order to access the square tab on the right side remove the starter motor. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement in Engine Electrical.

  4. Object Number: 4564 Size: SH

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 199011 Size: SH
  1. Install the engine mount bracket, the engine mount, and one engine mount bolt to the engine.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the remaining engine mount bolts to the engine.
  4. Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).
