Accessory Mounting Brackets Replacement PS Pump Bracket

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the engine cooling fan. Refer to Fan Clutch Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  2. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 179249  Size: SH

    Important: Do not evacuate the air conditioning system.

  4. Remove the A/C compressor mounting bolts.
  5. Move the A/C compressor aside and support.

  7. Remove the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement in Power Steering.
  8. Remove the 2 bolts holding the power steering pump to the power steering pump bracket.

  9. Object Number: 188295  Size: SH
  10. Remove the three bolts and the nut holding the power steering pump bracket to the engine.
  11. Slide the power steering pump bracket off the stud and the power steering pump.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 188295  Size: SH
  1. Slide the power steering pump bracket on the stud and the power steering pump.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the three bolts and the nut.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts and nut to 41 N·m (30 lb ft).

  5. Install the three bolts for the power steering pump.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  7. Install the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement in Power Steering Systems.

  8. Object Number: 179249  Size: SH
  9. Install the A/C compressor.
  10. Install the A/C compressor bolts.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the A/C compressor bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  12. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  13. Install the engine cooling fan. Refer to Fan Clutch Replacement in Engine Cooling.

Accessory Mounting Brackets Replacement Generator Bracket

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the PCV tube from the air intake duct.
  2. Remove the air intake duct from the throttle body assembly.
  3. Remove the engine cooling fan. Refer to Fan Clutch Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  4. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .

  5. Object Number: 43854  Size: SH
  6. Remove the drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement .
  7. Remove the bolt from the air cleaner outlet duct bracket.
  8. Remove the upper oil level indicator tube bolt.
  9. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct bracket bolt and stud from the generator and drive belt tensioner bracket.
  10. Remove the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement in Engine Electrical.

  11. Object Number: 310229  Size: SH
  12. Remove the belt idler pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement .

  13. Object Number: 196643  Size: SH
  14. Remove the three bolts and nut holding the generator and drive belt tensioner bracket to the engine.
  15. Slide the generator and drive belt tensioner bracket off of the stud.

Installation Procedure

  1. Slide the generator and drive belt tensioner bracket on the stud.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.   3. Install the two bolts and the nut.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts and nut to 41 N·m (30 lb ft).

  5. Install the belt idler pulley.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the belt idler pulley bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  7. Install the drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement .
  8. Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  9. Install the air cleaner outlet duct bracket bolt and stud to the generator and drive belt tensioner bracket.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt and stud to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  11. Install the upper oil level indicator tube bolt.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  13. Install the oil fill tube bolt to the air cleaner outlet duct bracket.
  14. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  15. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  16. Install the engine cooling fan. Refer to Fan Clutch Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  17. Install the air intake duct to the throttle body assembly.
  18. Install the PCV tube to the air intake duct.
