AXLE SHAFT HUB SEAL LEAK NEW SPLIT DOWEL/WASHER REL.

TO REPAIR A POSSIBLE LEAKAGE CONDITION OF REAR AXLE FLANGE GASKETS ON SOME OF THE ABOVE MODELS, A NEW SPLIT DOWEL IS NOW AVAILABLE. REPLACE THE ORIGINAL SOLID DOWEL, P/N 2489504, WITH THE NEW SPLIT DOWEL, P/N 15529185. ADD A WASHER, P/N 2040949, BETWEEN THE DOWEL AND THE TORQUE NUT. TORQUE NUT TO THE PROPER SPECIFICATIONS, AS LISTED IN YOUR SERVICE MANUAL.
