- Remove the audio alarm module from the convenience center.
- Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
- Place the headlamps switch in the HEAD or PARK position.
- Adjust the dimmer switch to maximum brightness.
- Connect a J 39200
from cavity K4 of the convenience center to ground.

- Locate and repair the short to voltage in CKT 8 (GRY) between
the IP fuse block and the convenience center. Refer to

in wiring.
- If a short to voltage is not found, refer to
Interior Lights Dimming Schematics
in Lighting,
in order to locate the open circuit.
