THIS BULLETIN IS FOR GM OF CANADA ONLY.
A secondary sealing strip has been developed to reduce door sill panel silt build up. This seal may also assist against dust intrusion into the cab area when used with door filters described in P.S.B. 88-2-157. The secondary door sealing strips and instructions are available in kit P/N 10951759 from CANSPO.
The following are the instructions for installing the secondary sealing strips:
1. Raise vehicle.
2. Wash and thoroughly dry door bottoms.
3. Wipe door bottom in the area of the drain slots front to rear with pre cleano or other suitable wax and grease film remover.
4. Heat attaching area sheet metal with heat gun if not up to room temperature.
5. Test fit and align cut-outs of seal with drain slot depressions in door bottoms roll the leading edge of the seal around the curve at the door front, and stop against return flange.This forms a gentle curve upwards for proper sealing at front of door. (View A)
6. Remove backing strip and press tape flat to door bottom between drain slots firmly.
Use labour operation T8016 and claim 0.5 hours.
