Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1530697 Size: SH
  1. Remove the courtesy lamp lens.
  2. Remove the overhead console screw near the courtesy lamp.
  3. Grasp the overhead console and pull downward in order to disengage the fasteners.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the overhead console.

    5. Object Number: 1530702 Size: SH
  5. Use a small flat-bladed tool to remove the OnStarĀ® microphone (3) from the OnStarĀ® button assembly (4).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1530702 Size: SH
  1. Position the OnStarĀ® microphone (3) to the opening in the OnStarĀ® button assembly (4).
  2. Push the OnStarĀ® microphone (3) into the opening in the OnStarĀ® button assembly (4) until the fasteners engage securing the microphone to the button assembly.

    3. Object Number: 1530697 Size: SH
  3. Connect the electrical connectors.
  4. Align the overhead console within the vehicle.
  5. Press up on the overhead console engaging the fasteners in order to secure the console to the vehicle.

    6. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  6. Install the overhead console screw.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 2 NĀ·m (18 lb in).

  7. Install the courtesy lamp lens.
