Ino - Protective Bumper Coating Applied to Prevent Stains Before Vehicle Delivery to Customer

The Tracker LT model is now being shipped from the assembly plant with a protective coating on both the front and rear bumpers. This action is being taken in response to the high percentage of stained bumpers being reported on these vehicles.

Previously, a protective plastic cover was installed over the spare tire at the plant, with the vinyl spare tire cover placed inside the vehicle for dealer installation. Due to various circumstances, sometimes the plastic cover is removed. If the spare tire is left unprotected, rain water wetting the spare tire will wash tire dye onto the rear bumper, leaving stains in the silver paint. Dealers then have to refinish the rear bumper in order to remove the stains.

Important: Dealers MUST leave the protective coating in place on the front and rear bumper until the vinyl spare tire cover is installed.
