  1. Using a ridge reamer, remove any ridge and all carbon from the top of the cylinder bore to avoid damage to the piston ring lands.

  2. Object Number: 261777  Size: SH
  3. Rotate the crankshaft to a position where the connecting rod bolts are the most accessible.
  4. Mark the connecting rod and cap with the cylinder position. Also mark their orientation. This will ensure the caps and connecting rods are re-assembled properly.
  5. Remove the connecting rod nuts.
  6. Remove the connecting rod cap with the bearing.
  7. Slide a piece of protective hose over each connecting rod stud to help prevent damage to the crankshaft and cylinder when removing the piston and connecting rod assembly.
  8. Remove the piston and connecting rod assembly from the cylinder.
