Schematic Reference: Power Window Schematics

Did you review the Power Windows Description and Operation and perform the necessary inspections?

Go to Step 2

Go to Symptoms - Doors

1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
2. Attempt to operate all windows switches.

Are all of the power windows inoperative from both the master and the door switches?

Go to Step 3

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
2. Backprobe the master window switch with a test lamp from terminal 1 to ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Repair the open in the BLU/WHT wire between the junction block and S244. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in the BLK ground wire between terminal 9 of the master window switch and G200. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 6

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
