01-02 Chevrolet Tracker ABS Light On DTC C1232 Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor - kw brake code light lamp wire harness GMT190

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.

The ABS light comes on with DTC C1232 left front wheel speed sensor circuit open or shorted. The wiring harness from EBCM to the left wheel speed sensor may be wrapped around the AC suction hose causing tension on the wiring harness connector (white in color), which may cause a poor pin connection concern.

Locate the ABS wiring harness connector (white in color) at the drivers side inner front fender near the base of the engine coolant recovery bottle. The harness should not be routed around the AC suction hose. It should be routed parallel to the inner fender along its lower edge, free from contact with the AC suction hose. A pin drag test should also be performed to make sure the pin connection is good.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
