Power Door Locks Actuator Motor Inoperative Rear

Verify that the rear door lock is inoperative.

Is only the rear door lock inoperative?

Go to Step 3

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

  1. Disconnect the door lock actuator connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between terminal 2 and ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate with the door lock switch in the LOCK position?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Repair the open in the BLU wire between the door lock actuator and S308. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

Connect a test lamp between terminal 3 and ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate with the door lock switch in the UNLOCK position?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in the BLU/RED wire between the door lock actuator and S309. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

  2. Connect a test lamp between terminal 2 and ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate with the door lock switch in the LOCK position?

Repair the open in the BLU wire between the door lock actuator and S308. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

  1. Connect the door lock actuator connector.
  2. Disconnect the remote control door lock receiver.
  3. Ground terminal A of the remote control door lock receiver with a fused jumper wire.
  4. Unlock the door.

Does the door lock when the door lock switch is in the LOCK position?

Repair the open in the BLU/RED wire between the door lock actuator and the remote control door lock receiver. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
