Verify that the left front power window is inoperative.

Is the left front power window inoperative?

Go to Step 3

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Test for battery voltage at terminal 11 of the master window switch with the switch in the UP position.
  3. Test for battery voltage at terminal 10 of the master window switch with the switch in the DOWN position.

Is battery voltage present in both tests?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

    • Test for an open in the YEL or the GRN/YEL wire between the left front window switch and the left front window regulator.
    • Test for an open in the RED or the RED/BLU wire between the left front window switch and the left front window regulator.

Is an open present?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Replace the master window switch. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement or Door Lock and Side Window Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

Repair the open. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

Replace the left front window regulator. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
