Verify that the Instrument Panel Lamps are always on.

Do the Instrument Panel operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

Disconnect the IP Cluster connector. Test for an open condition between connector C2, cavity 2 and S253.

Does an open condition exist?

Go to Step 4

Repair the open in the RED/YEL wire from cavity 2 to S253. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 9

Test for an open condition between connector C3, cavity 6 and S254.

Does an open condition exist?

Go to Step 6

Repair the open condition between connector C3, cavity 6 and S254. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect the Instrument Panel printed circuit for any damage or loose connections.

Does any damage to the printed circuit exist?

Go to Step 8

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Repair the Instrument Cluster printed circuit. Refer to Printed Instrument Cluster Circuit Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

Did you complete the repair?
