Verify that the flash to pass headlamps are inoperative?

Do the flash to pass headlamps operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

Pull the Turn Signal/Headlamp Switch to the PASS position.

Do the high beams operate?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Repair the open in the RED wire between cavity 20 and S234. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 9

Test for a short to ground condition between cavity 24 of the Turn Signal/Headlamp Switch and G200.

Does a short to ground condition exist?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Repair the short to ground condition in the BLK wire from cavity 24 and G200. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 9

Test for continuity between cavity 20 and 24 of the Turn Signal/Headlamp Switch.

Does continuity exist?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 8

Replace the Turn Signal/Headlamp Switch. Refer to Headlamp Switch Replacement

Did you complete the replacement complete?

Go to Step 9

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
