Verify that the Twilight Sentinel is inoperative.

Does the Twilight Sentinel operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the DRL Control Module connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. Connect a test lamp from cavity 1 to ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 5

Repair the open in the PNK/BLU wire from cavity 1 to S238. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 16

Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, test for open condition from cavity 10 of the DRL to S240.

Does an open condition exist?

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in the BLU/RED wire from cavity 10 to S240. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 16

  1. Cover the ambient light sensor.
  2. With the key in the ON position, test for an open from the Ambient Light Sensor cavity 1 to S259.

Does an open condition exist?

Go to Step 8

Repair the open condition in the YEL/GRN wire from cavity 1 to S259. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 16

  1. Expose the ambient light sensor to a bright light.
  2. Test for an open from cavity 4 to S238.

Does an open condition exist?

Go to Step 12

Test for an open condition from the DRL Module cavity 6 and S233.

Does an open condition exist?

Repair the RED/WHT wire from the cavity 6 of the DRL to S233. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test for an open between the Headlamp relay and the Turn Signal/Headlamp Switch.

Is an open condition present?

Go to Step 13

Repair the open. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the Turn Signal/Headlamp Switch. Refer to Headlamp Switch Replacement .
