Verify that the right side turn signal lamps are inoperative.

Are the right side turn signal lamps inoperative?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

  1. Disconnect connector 216. Refer to Lighting Systems Components .
  2. Turn the turn signal switch to the RIGHT position.
  3. Test for an open between terminals 11 and 12.

Is an open present?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Replace the turn signal switch. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Replacement in SIR.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

Test for an open in the GRN/YEL wire between connector 216 and the junction block.

Is an open present?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Repair the open in the GRN/YEL wire between connector 216 and the junction block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

Replace the junction block. Refer to Relay/Fuse Center Replacement in Wiring Systems.

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Are the left side turn signal lamps inoperative?

  1. Disconnect connector 216. Refer to Lighting Systems Components .
  2. Turn the turn signal switch to the LEFT position.
  3. Test for an open between terminals 16 and 12.

Is an open present?

Go to Step 5

Replace the turn signal switch. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Replacement in SIR.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

Test for an open in the GRN/RED wire between connector 216 and the junction block.

Is an open present?

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in the GRN/RED wire between connector 216 and the junction block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
