Verify that the stoplamps are always illuminated.

Are the stoplamps always illuminated?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Disconnect the stoplamp switch.

Do the stoplamps remain illuminated?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Adjust or replace the stoplamp switch. Refer to Stop Lamp Switch Adjustment or Stop Lamp Switch Replacement in Hydraulic brakes.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

Disconnect C205.

Do the stoplamps remain illuminated?

Go to Step 7

Repair the short to voltage in the GRN/WHT wire between the stoplamp switch and C205. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

Repair the short to voltage in the GRN/WHT wire between the C205 and S304. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
