Did you review the Exterior Lights Circuit Description and perform the necessary inspections?

Verify that the Hazards are inoperative.

Do the Hazards work normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the Turn/Hazard Flasher connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between cavity 2 of the Turn/Hazard Flasher and ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 4

  1. Push the Hazard Switch to the ON position.
  2. Connect the fused jumper wire between cavity 2 and terminal 3 of the Turn/Hazard Flasher.

Do the hazard lamps illuminate?

Go to Step 6

Repair the open condition in the BLK wire from the junction block to S207. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the Turn/Hazard Flasher. Refer to Hazard and Turn Signal Flasher Replacement .

  1. Reconnect the Turn/Hazard Flasher connector.
  2. Disconnect the Hazard Switch connector.
  3. Connect a fused jumper wire between cavity 1 and cavity 3 of the Hazard Switch assembly .

Does the left front turn lamp flash?

Go to Step 8

Replace the Hazard Switch assembly.

Did you complete the repair?

Repair the open in the GRN wire from the Turn/Hazard Flasher and the Hazard Switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
