Go to Symptoms - Lighting Systems

Verify that the license plate and tail lamps are inoperative.

Are the license plate and tail lamps inoperative?

Go to Step 3

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

1. Disconnect C207. Refer to Lighting Systems Components .
2. Turn the light switch to the ON position.
3. Test for battery voltage at terminal 6 of C207.

Is battery voltage present?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Repair the open in the RED/YEL wire between C207 and S217. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

1. Connect C207.
2. Disconnect C213. Refer to Lighting Systems Components .
3. Turn the light switch to the ON position.
4. Test for battery voltage at terminal 2 of C213.

Is battery voltage present?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in the RED/YEL wire between C207 and C213. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

Repair the open in the RED/YEL wire between C213 and S305. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
