Verify that only one stoplamp is inoperative.

Is the left or the right stoplamp inoperative?

Go to Step 4

Is the center high mounted stoplamp inoperative?

Go to Step 7

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Test for battery voltage at the GRN/WHT wire in the taillamp assembly.

Is battery voltage present with the brake pedal depressed?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Repair the open in the GRN/WHT wire between the taillamp assembly and S304. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 10

Repair the open in the BLK wire between the taillamp assembly and S300. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 10

Test for battery voltage at the GRN/WHT wire in the center high mounted stoplamp assembly.

Is battery voltage present with the brake pedal depressed?

Go to Step 9

Repair the open in the GRN/WHT wire between the center high mounted stoplamp assembly and S304. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 10

Repair the open in the BLK wire between the center high mounted stoplamp assembly and S400 or between S400 and S300. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 10

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
