Compressor Mounting Bracket Replacement - Lower 1.6L

1. Remove the compressor. Refer to Compressor Replacement .
2. Remove the power steering pump, if equipped. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement in Power Steering.



3. Remove 3 compressor lower mounting bracket bolts and remove the bracket from the vehicle.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

1. Install the compressor lower mounting bracket (2) to the vehicle and secure with three bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the compressor lower mounting bracket bolts to 18-25 N·m (13-20 lb ft).

2. Install the power steering pump, if equipped. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement in Power Steering.
3. Install the compressor. Refer to Compressor Replacement .
