Power Steering Pump Description 1.6L

The power steering pump is a vane-type pump. The drive belt, coming from the crankshaft pulley, drives the power steering pump.

As the discharge rate of the power steering pump increases in proportion to the pump revolution speed, the power steering fluid pressure increases. The flow control valve controls the maximum amount of fluid pressure necessary for the steering operation.
