Removal Procedure
Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing
any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to
the vehicle or its components.
- Disconnect
the negative battery cable (1).
- Remove the following items
from the floor:
• | The 4 screws (1,6,3,4) |
• | The 2 plastic retaining clips (2,5) |
- Remove the shift lock
solenoid electrical connector (3) from under the carpet and disconnect.
- Remove the shift indicator lamp electrical connector.
- Remove the shift indicator lamp (1).
- Remove the shift lock solenoid cover (2).
- Remove the shift lock
solenoid (2) from the manual selector.
Installation Procedure
- Install the shift lock
solenoid (2) to the manual selector.
- Install the shift lock
solenoid cover (2).
- Connect the shift indicator lamp electrical connector and the
shift lock solenoid connector (3) under the carpet.
- Install the shift indicator lamp (1).
- Install the console box
to the floor.
- Secure the console box with the 2 plastic retaining clips
(2,5) and the 4 screws (1,6,3,4) .
- Connect the negative battery cable.
