Removal Procedure
Caution:
• Never drain or store fuel in an open container due to the possibility
of fire or explosion. • When draining the fuel tank, slowly insert the hand operated pump
device in the fuel tank. Do Not force the hand operated pump device in the
fuel tank. Forcing the pump device can cause the fuel pump to dislocate from
the fuel sender assembly.
- Remove the pickup box from the vehicle. Refer to Pickup Box Replacement .in Body and Accessories.
- Remove the Fuel Sender assembly from the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement
- Use a hand operated pump device to drain the fuel from the fuel tank.
Installation Procedure
- Install the Fuel Sender to the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement
- Install the pickup box to the vehicle. Refer to Pickup Box Replacement
- Refill with fresh fuel.
