Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 243255  Size: SH
  1. Remove the center console trim bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  3. Remove the instrument panel (IP) compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  4. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  5. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
  6. Important: Note the routing of the cable to make installation easier.

  7. Disconnect the temperature control cable from the HVAC module assembly.

  8. Object Number: 683118  Size: SH
  9. Remove the 2 screws and pull the HVAC control unit forward.
  10. Disconnect the temperature control cable from the HVAC control unit.
  11. Remove the temperature control cable from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the temperature control cable in the vehicle. Route the cable as previously noted.
  2. Connect the temperature control cable to the HVAC control unit.

  3. Object Number: 683118  Size: SH
  4. Install the HVAC control unit to the IP. Secure with the 2 screws.

  5. Object Number: 243255  Size: SH
  6. Connect the temperature control cable to the HVAC module assembly.
  7. Adjust the temperature control cable. Refer to Temperature Control Cable Adjustment .
  8. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
  9. Install the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  10. Install the IP compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  11. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  12. Install the center console trim bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
