Removal Procedure

Notice: The EVAP canister may have released carbon particles which caused this part to fail and may cause damage to other components. Check the EVAP canister for loose carbon before returning the vehicle to service.


    Object Number: 625291  Size: SH
  1. Remove the EVAP canister (3). Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector of the EVAP pressure switching solenoid.
  3. Disconnect the 2 vapor hoses.
  4. Remove the fastener (2).
  5. Remove the EVAP pressure switching solenoid (1) from the EVAP canister.
  6. Inspect the EVAP pressure switching solenoid and the EVAP control system for carbon particle contamination before replacing the EVAP pressure switching solenoid. Refer to Evaporative Emission System Cleaning .

Installation Procedure

  1. Inspect the EVAP pressure switching solenoid and the EVAP control system for carbon particle contamination before replacing the EVAP pressure switching solenoid. Refer to Evaporative Emission System Cleaning .

  2. Object Number: 625291  Size: SH
  3. Install the EVAP pressure switching solenoid (1) to the EVAP canister.
  4. Secure with the fastener (2).
  5. Connect the 2 vapor hoses.
  6. Connect the electrical connector.
  7. Install the EVAP canister (3). Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Replacement .
