Removal Procedure
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.
- Loosen and reposition
the following clamps on the coolant bypass hose (6):
| • | One hose clamp at the intake manifold end |
| • | One hose clamp at the coolant intake pipe end |
- Remove the coolant bypass hose from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Position a new hose clamp
on each end of the coolant bypass hose.
- Install the coolant bypass hose to the vehicle.
- Position the bypass hose over the coolant intake pipe (6) and
the intake manifold flares.
- Use the 2 coolant bypass hose clamps in order to secure the hose.
- Use and approved coolant in order to fill the radiator. Refer
