DOOR TRIM PANEL WEAR AT REGULATOR KNOB/REPAIR

Model and Year: 1986-88 NOVA MODELS

A circular wear pattern on the door trim panel in the area of the window regulator handle may appear on some 1986-88 Nova models.

This condition may be caused by a sharp projection of plastic on the regulator knob rubbing on the trim panel as the regulator is operated.

To repair this condition, remove the window regulator handle and remove any sharp projection from the knob to handle attaching area on the side of the handle facing the door trim.

For cases of extreme trim panel abrasion, the panel should be replaced.
