Removal Procedure
- Turn OFF the ignition.
- Remove the air intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement .
- Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) purge line.
- Disconnect the fuel lines. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
- Disconnect the TP sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the 2 TP sensor fasteners.
- Remove the TP sensor and O-ring.
Installation Procedure
- Install the TP sensor O-ring on the TP sensor.
- Install the TP sensor on the throttle body assembly.
- Install the 2 TP sensor fasteners, using a thread-locking compound on the screws. Loctite® 262, GM P/N #1052624, or equivalent should be used.
- Connect the TP sensor electrical connector.
- Connect the EVAP purge line.
- Connect the fuel lines. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
- Install the air intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement .
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the TP sensor attaching screws to 2.0 N·m (18 lb in).
