The CHECK GAGES indicator illuminates in the IPC when the one of the following conditions exist:
• | The engine coolant temperature (ECT) is at or above 118° C (244°F). |
The IPC receives the ECT information through a dedicated hardwire input from the PCM. |
• | The engine oil pressure (EOP) is at or below 34 kPa (5 psi). |
The IPC receives the EOP information through a dedicated hardwire input from the EOP sensor. |
The WATER IN FUEL indicator illuminates in the IPC when the water in fuel sensor detects water in the fuel tank. The water in fuel sensor provides a ground to the water in fuel indicator control circuit in order to illuminate the WATER IN FUEL indicator.
