Heater Hose Pliers
Removal Procedure
Partially drain the engine coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.
Remove the air cleaner, if necessary. Refer to the appropriate procedure in Engine Controls:

Remove the coolant recovery reservoir or the surge tank. Refer to
Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement
or
Radiator Surge Tank Replacement
in Engine Cooling.
Remove the hose clamps using the
J 39529
.
Remove the hose support clamps, the brackets, or the retainers as necessary.
Remove the heater hose from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Install the heater hose to the vehicle.
Install the hose support clamps, the brackets, or the retainers as necessary.
Install the hose clamps using the
J 39529
.
Install the coolant recovery reservoir or the surge tank. Refer to Refer to
Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement
or
Radiator Surge Tank Replacement
in Engine Cooling.
Install the air cleaner, if necessary. Refer to the appropriate procedure in Engine Controls:

Fill the engine coolant. Refer to
