Rocker Panel Molding Replacement Utility, Base

1. Remove rocker panel protector (1,2).
2. Remove old rocker panel protector adhesive (3).

1. Install new adhesive (3) to rocker panel protector.
2. Install rocker panel protector (1,2) to vehicle.

Rocker Panel Molding Replacement Limited Tahoe

Tools Required

J 34940 .

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .



2. Remove the push pins from the rocker panel molding.



3. Remove the rocker panel molding (2) from the molding retainer (1).



4. Drill the rivets with a 6 mm (.25 in) drill bit and remove the molding channel from the vehicle.

1. Prime the all of the drill holes to prevent rust intrusion.



2. Install the rivets with a rivet gun Refer toJ 34940 for the rocker panel molding channel to the vehicle.



3. Install the rocker panel molding (2) to the molding retainer (1).



4. Install the push pins to the rocker panel molding.
5. Lower the vehicle.
