Removal Procedure
Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing
any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to
the vehicle or its components.
- Disconnect
the battery negative cable.
- Roll back the instrument panel. Refer to
Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gauges
and Console.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the temperature actuator
that is located in the passenger compartment, on the front of the heater case.
- Remove the screws.
- Remove the actuator.
- Adjust the actuator by completing the following steps:
6.1. | Connect the electrical connector to the actuator. |
6.2. | Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position. |
Allow the self-positioning of the actuator.
6.3. | Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. |
6.4. | Remove the actuator from the electrical connection. |
Installation Procedure
- Install the actuator
- Install the screws.
- Connect the electrical connectors.
- Roll the instrument panel compartment forward. Refer to
Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement
in Instrument
Panel, Gauges and Console.
- Connect the battery negative cable.
- Test the circuit operation.
