Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 669159  Size: MH
  1. Remove the heater core from the HVAC module. Refer to Heater Core Replacement .
  2. Remove the four screws in order to remove the evaporator case cover (8) from the HVAC module assembly.
  3. Remove the evaporator core (7) from the HVAC module.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 669159  Size: MH
  1. Install the evaporator core (7) to the HVAC module.
  2. Install the evaporator case cover (8).
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the screws to the evaporator case cover (8).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.4 N·m (12 lb in).

  6. Install the heater core. Refer to Heater Core Replacement .
  7. Evacuate and recharge the system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  8. Leak test the fittings of the component using the J 39400-A .
