Steering Shaft, Lower Bearing, and Jacket - Assemble - Off Vehicle Standard Floor Shift

Tools Required

1. Install the steering shaft assembly into the steering column jacket assembly.



2. Install the bearing retainer (1) using J 23653-SIR and J 23653-91 .
3. Install the windshield wiper and washer switch assembly. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle .



4. Lubricate the inside of the lower bearing adapter (3).
5. Install the lower bearing adapter (3) to the steering column jacket assembly (4).
6. Install the bearing adapter retainer (2).
7. Install the lower bearing adapter clip (1).
