- Thread the turn signal
switch assembly connector through the steering column housing assembly, if
the connector is hanging.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the turn signal switch assembly and secure using 3 binding
head cross recess screws (1).
Tighten

- Lubricate the signal switch arm actuator (3) with lithium
grease.
- Install the signal switch arm actuator (3) onto the turn
signal switch assembly.
- Secure the signal switch arm actuator (3) using the round
washer head screw (2).
Tighten
Tighten the round washer head screw (2) to 2.5 N·m
(22 lb in).
- Install the terminal connector
to the turn signal switch assembly connector.
- Install the terminal connector to the dimmer switch assembly.
Notice: Improper routing of the wire harness assembly may damage the inflatable
restraint steering wheel module coil. This may result in malfunction of the
inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil.
