Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement .
  2. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  3. Remove the radiator inlet hose support clamp from the radiator fan shroud.

  4. Object Number: 199072  Size: SH
  5. Remove the radiator inlet hose (3) and the clamp (2) from the radiator (1).
  6. Remove the radiator inlet hose and the clamp from the coolant outlet.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the radiator inlet hose and the clamp to the coolant outlet.

  2. Object Number: 199072  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the radiator inlet hose (3) and the clamp (2) to the radiator (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the clamps to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  5. Install the radiator inlet support hose clamp to the radiator fan shroud.
  6. Install the front wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement .
  7. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  8. Inspect the system for leaks.
