- Check the condition of the HDLP SW, IGN SW1 fuses, and the IGN 1
Circuit Breaker. If either fuse or circuit breaker is open, locate and repair
the cause of the overload and then replace the fuse or the circuit breaker.
- Inspect G101 (LG5) or G102 (LP4/L21) to assure that it is clean
and tight.
- Inspect the headlamps or the DRL indicator lamp for an open filament.
- Inspect the DRL relay to assure that it is firmly connected.
- Inspect the wiring for broken or partially broken conductors inside
the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove to be GOOD in
a continuity or voltage test with the system disconnected. These circuits
may be intermittent or resistive when in use. The circuit should be monitored
for a voltage drop during operation.
- Inspect for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment
which may affect the integrity of other systems (Refer to
Checking Aftermarket Accessories
).
