  1. Check the condition of the HDLP SW, IGN SW1 fuses, and the IGN 1 Circuit Breaker. If either fuse or circuit breaker is open, locate and repair the cause of the overload and then replace the fuse or the circuit breaker.
  2. Inspect G101 (LG5) or G102 (LP4/L21) to assure that it is clean and tight.
  3. Inspect the headlamps or the DRL indicator lamp for an open filament.
  4. Inspect the DRL relay to assure that it is firmly connected.
  5. Inspect the wiring for broken or partially broken conductors inside the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove to be GOOD in a continuity or voltage test with the system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when in use. The circuit should be monitored for a voltage drop during operation.
  6. Inspect for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems (Refer to Checking Aftermarket Accessories ).
