The master cylinder has a primary and a secondary hydraulic system. Each system has a separate piston. One piston delivers pressure to the front brakes. The other piston delivers pressure to the rear brakes.
The primary and the secondary systems of the master cylinder are hydraulically isolated. Bleed the primary and the secondary hydraulic systems separately. Bleed either system first.
Two threaded caps are used in order to seal the master cylinder reservoir. A diaphragm is located under each cap in order to keep out dirt and other contaminants.
Locate the low brake fluid level switch on the side of the master cylinder reservoir. A floating magnet in the reservoir closes the switch when the fluid level is low and turns on the BRAKE warning lamp.
