Problem

Action

The exhaust tubing is kinked.
    • Repair the damaged condition if possible.
    • Replace the damaged component if a repair is not possible.

A restriction is present in the muffler.
  1. Remove the muffler. Refer to Muffler Replacement .
  2. Visually inspect the muffler.
  3. Replace the muffler if the condition of the muffler is doubtful.

An obstruction is present in the end of the tail pipe.
    • Remove the obstruction.
    • Straighten the outlet if the end is crimped.

The oxidation catalytic converter is plugged.

Replace the oxidation catalytic converter.Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement .
