OXYGEN SENSOR MAINTENANCE EMISSION REMINDER FLAG

Model and Year 1981 CHEVETTE

All 1981 Chevettes require an oxygen sensor change at 30,000 mile intervals as indicated in Section C of the Vehicle Maintenance Schedule. The cost of this maintenance is to be assumed by the owner.

On these vehicles, an "Emission" reminder flag will appear in a window in the speedometer face at 30,000 mile intervals. When this flag appears, the oxygen sensor should be replaced and the remainder flag reset.

The emission flag resetting procedure is detailed in the following illustration:
