This bulletin is being reissued to clarify part name, and provide labor operation number and labor time. All copies of Chevrolet Dealer Service Bulletin 87-269-3D, dated January, 1988 should be destroyed.
Some 1987 Celebrity models with 2 .5L engines, (VIN CODE R), may exhibit a slight fluid leakage from the power steering pressure hose connector/pipe assembly.
A new power steering pressure inlet hose assembly, P/N 26012610, has been released for service usage. This new assembly will replace the existing pressure inlet hose assembly, idle speed switch connector and pressure pipe. (See Figure 1) .
Vehicles exhibiting this condition may be repaired by installation of this new hose assembly following applicable shop manual procedure and referring to Figure 2.
