J 28467-360 Engine Support Fixture
Removal Procedure
- Remove the coolant recovery tank mounting bolt. Refer to
Radiator Surge Tank Replacement
in Engine Cooling.
- Remove the coolant recovery tank and position it aside.
- Remove the cruise control module mounting nuts and position aside. Refer to
Cruise Control Module Replacement
in Cruise Control.
- Remove mounting nut from both A/C line (1) and position lines out of the way.
- Install the J 28467-360
and raise the engine off of the mount.
- Remove the nuts holding the mount to the body.
- Remove the bolts holding the engine mount to the bracket.
- Remove the engine mount assembly.
Installation Procedure
- Install the engine mount assembly.
- Install the nuts holding the mount to the body. Do not tighten.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the bolts holding the engine mount to the bracket.
Tighten
• | Tighten the bolts to 60 N·m (44 lb ft) + 90 degrees. |
• | Tighten the nuts holding the mount to the body to 75 N·m (55 lb ft). |
- Remove the J 28467-360
.
- Install the coolant recovery tank. Refer to
Radiator Surge Tank Replacement
in Engine Cooling.
- Install the A/C line (1) mounting nut.
- Install the cruise control module mounting nuts. Refer to
Cruise Control Module Replacement
in Cruise Control.
