Heater Inlet Hose Replacement LN2
Tools Required
J 38185
Hose Clamp Pliers
Removal Procedure
Drain the engine coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.
Remove the air inlet duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement
in Engine Controls - 2.2L (LN2).
Reposition the ignition control module. Refer to
Ignition Control Module Replacement
in Engine Controls - 2.2L (LN2).
Use the
J 38185
in order to reposition the heater hose clamps.
Disconnect the inlet heater hoses from the inlet heater pipe.
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
Use the
J 38185
in order to reposition the heater hose clamps.
Disconnect the inlet heater hose from the heater core.
Remove the inlet heater hose from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Install the inlet heater hose to the vehicleUse the
J 38185
.
Connect the inlet heater hose to the inlet heater pipe. Ensure that the hose clamps are secured.
Connect the inlet heater hose to the heater core. Ensure the hose clamps are secured.
Lower the vehicle.
Reposition and install the ignition control module. Refer to
Ignition Control Module Replacement
in Engine Controls - 2.2L (LN2).
Install the air inlet duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement
in Engine Controls - 2.2L (LN2).
Fill the engine coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.
Heater Inlet Hose Replacement LD9
Tools Required

Hose Clamp Pliers
Removal Procedure
Drain the engine coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.
Squeeze the tabs on the quick-connect (3) in order to disconnect the heater hose (1) from the heater pipe (4).
Disconnect the inlet heater hose from the inlet pipe.
Use the
J 38185
to disconnect the inlet heater hose from the heater core.
Installation Procedure
Connect the inlet heater hose to the heater core.
Connect the inlet heater hose (1) to the heater pipe quick-connect (3).
Pull on the hose in order to verify the connection.
Fill the engine coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.

Disconnect the inlet heater hose (1) from the inlet port of the engine.
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to

Use the

to disconnect the inlet heater hose from the heater core.
Installation Procedure
Connect the inlet heater hose (2) to the inlet port of the heater core.
Lower the vehicle.
Connect the inlet heater hose to the inlet port of the engine.
Use the
J 38185
in order to reposition the heater hose clamps.
Fill the engine coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.
