Rear Spoiler Replacement Chevrolet

1. Remove the retaining nuts (3) from deck lid spoiler.



2. Disconnect the deck lid spoiler wire harness connector (1).



3. Remove the deck lid spoiler (1).

1. Position the deck lid spoiler (1) on the deck lid.
2. Pull gently on the deck lid spoiler wire harness in order to seat the grommet.



3. Connect the wire harness connector (1) to the deck lid spoiler.




Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

4. Install the deck lid spoiler nuts (3).

Tighten
Tighten the spoiler nuts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

1. Remove the retaining nut access plugs (1) from the deck lid as necessary.



2. Remove the retaining nuts (2) from the deck lid spoiler.



3. Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) from the deck lid spoiler.



4. Remove the deck lid spoiler (1).

1. Position the deck lid spoiler (1) on the deck lid.



2. Pull gently on the spoiler wire harness in order to seat the grommet.
3. Connect the wire harness connector (1) to the deck lid spoiler.
